Registrations taken for city summer camps

Rocky Mount Parks and Recreation will hold its annual summer camps June 22 through July 31 at the Imperial Centre for Arts and Sciences and the Booker T. Washington Community Center.

Camps are open to children ages 5-12 and will run from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Each camp is limited to 50 children per week.

The cost of the camp is $50 per week for city residents and $75 for non-residents. Payments are due by 5 p.m. each Friday, with no exceptions permitted.

Individuals seeking scholarships worth 50 percent off the weekly fee should contact Jeffrey Walston at 252-972-1182.

Scheduled activities will include swimming, arts, crafts, bowling, movies and games. Morning snacks are included. Lunches will be provided to campers pending the Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools operation of the summer feeding program.
