Clemens Arts & Crafts and More Festival. The festival is put on by the Hannibal Evening Kiwanis Club in Central Park with vendors and artists selling goods to visitors from all around the world. Kiwanis officials said they decided to cancel because they were concerned not only for people who would attend, but also for their own members who run the event. More than 170 artists and craftspeople from throughout the country showcase their wares at the annual Arts & Crafts Festival. However, for 2020, the event will be moving to the online realm due to social distancing guidelines during the coronavirus pandemic. AmeriCU Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival, in partnership with the Downtown Committee, will be highlighting the works of artists from the July event through social media. Organizers said the decision to make it a virtual event wasn't only taking into consideration the 50,000 visitors to Columbus Circle, but also those who travel for the event. Artists travel into Syracuse from as many as 25 U.S. states and Canada. This year was also supposed to be the celebration of the event's 50th year. DUBLIN — A new cultural arts center that will take over the former police headquarters is moving forward, despite a $4 million funding shortfall. The former police headquarters at City Hall will be remodeled so that the first floor will be a 13,000-square-foot multiuse cultural arts center. Cost of the center, originally estimated at $5.8 million, has shot up to an estimated $11.9 million, largely due in part to the amenities added since the project was first proposed. The city has $7.9 million of dedicated funding for the center, which makes it about $4 million short. Despite this, Dublin City Council unanimously agreed on Tuesday to move forward with the schematic design and building layout of the new center, with an expectation that it could be put out to bid as early as February 2021. At SmithKlein Gallery in downtown Boulder, the second-generation owners of the storied art space boarded up its windows after a neighboring business was burglarized in March. With the type of high-end fine art the gallery has in its inventory, co-owner Ann Klein said they really had no other choice. Out of wood panels, they enlisted Colorado muralist Patrick Maxcy to create a masterpiece.
